Can I surf the net with Inmarsat-a terminal?

BGAN is a new wholesale high speed satellite broadband data/voice service offered by Inmarsatto almost anywhere around the globe except the Pacific area (so Western Australia is covered but not Sydney) from two satellites. The Pacific service will commence via a third satellite during 2007.

I have heard that Inmarsat is going to be moving some satellites around in January 2009. 'Network Optimisation' will also take place, which may mean some frequency changes for active services - most likely to do with BGAN / GAN.

If somebody keeps an eye on the Inmarsat downlinks could he report any significant changes to the forums? Thanks!

Does anyone know if there is any anlog traffic on the Inmarsat system or is it all digital now?

Inmarsat-B (Maritime)- Atlantic Ocean-West.
Example number is +874-335-000-000.

Does anyone have any experience/knowledge of the cheapest way to get calls via VoIP to this satellite phone?
