I have bought a boat which has a 9500 Iridium telephone with it and SIM card.
How can I start using the phone and can you send me an instruction booklet/book
for the one I have is in French. Thanks!

I currently have 5 iridium phones which are giving me issues.

2 of which try to register and before registration is complete they go back to the searching mode, even though they have 5 bars for signals. My other 14 phones do not give me this problem.

Then I have 2 more iridium which seem to have had their SIM cards removed and the last one will not power on even though I fully charged ...

Where the axiom ‘you get what you pay for’ has never been more true, one has to be discerning when investing in satellite phone communications. Often times paying the lowest price is not cost effective.

I have one of the Iridium phones on my boat but have never activated/used it. Where is the best place to buy minutes?
What else do I need to do to activate the phone? I only want to use it for emergencies so I don't need a lot of minutes. Thanks

I currently have a kyocera Sd-66k Iridium Satellite phone that I bought
off of Ebay . It works fine but is a little heavy for climbing and backpacking .
Would you happen to know where I could pick a the smaller Kyocera SS-66K ?
