Are there any satellite phone service providers that service in Iraq that anyone knows of? I have checked a few of the carrier sites and none have specific information on Iraq. Or will u still have to use a satellite phone there? Do go phones get service in Iraq? Want to keep in touch via phone when I deploy.

GSM phones do work in Iraq, there are providers who can give you none contract phones which work in Iraq. Although service is provided, it can be limited to populated areas and coverage might be limited in rural areas. For complete blanket coverage you can use an Iridium satellite phone, which you can get from various providers.
